In today's world, women still serve as targets for stereotypes and labels. "Career woman," "intellectual," "mistress," or "housewife" - attempts to fit her into the narrow framework of some specific role. But what are these limitations for? Within each of us, there coexist many different heroines, and each of them possesses her own unique character.
Who do you want to be today? The quest for an answer to this question turns into an exciting role-playing game, where clothing is the key that unlocks new facets of your personality. Today you can become a magical fairy from your favorite anime, tomorrow - a warrior amazon from the wild world of the future, and the day after tomorrow - a beautiful goddess of love from a distant galaxy. The idea of the CESTRX brand is part of the personal history of stylist Renata Kharkova, a former fashion department director at Tatler, Elle editor, and graduate of Central St. Martins School. Even as a child, she invented outfits for dolls, and as she grew older, she turned her love for dressing up into a lifelong pursuit.
In 2021, during the pandemic, Renata came up with a photo project for social networks, where every day she posted pictures of herself in the guise of different heroines: sometimes presenting herself as a tourist from Japan in a contemporary art gallery, sometimes as a fan of Helmut Newton at a rave, and sometimes as a fantastic heroine from cyberpunk cinema.
The logical continuation of this project became the concept of the CESTRX brand, which is based on a system of mini-collections. Each of them is a separate chapter dedicated to a specific heroine. As a result, a mini-wardrobe is created, assembled like a doll set, with a focus on dresses, jeans, skirts, tops, and lingerie. Moreover, items from different collections easily complement each other, offering countless variations for the boldest and most unexpected combos.
And last but not least: each CESTRX item is the result of painstaking work by our small but cohesive team with a design studio in Barcelona. To create our collections, we choose the best Korean fabrics. And the main principle in our work is a meticulous, almost jeweler's approach to creating patterns and the tiniest details - down to the last stitch. It is in this that the secret of our clothing lies, which is intended to give its wearer freedom, endowing her with almost superheroic power.
